Partly I'm bored. Partly I'm trying to get ready to get in character for next week's horrible wangst fest wonderful game of happy joy.
The vagueness is intentional, honest guv.
As the reptiles went about their daily business, they didn’t know they were being watched.
They’d been watched for some time- only an hour or so today, but over the last six months, almost every facet of their routine had been observed, and carefully remembered for future use. Catch them in the morning, for instance, and they were so sluggish that she could probably take out the entire nest by herself.
She’d come a long way since she first started coming here- not that she’d admit it, of course. From the first visit, where even the scent of them on the wind was enough to start her heart racing; her legs refusing to take another step, through sheer stubbornness she forced herself to sit on the boggy ground until she could at least leave without running. Gradually, she’d been able to move closer, always hidden and with the wind in her favour. She still wasn’t sure how good their sense of smell was.
She hadn’t yet been able to work on the other things- one required finding the bastards, and that would be an issue. Better perhaps to wait for them to show themselves and deal with them quickly. The other… Well, that was even more problematic, in some ways at least. The finding was less difficult. The explaining was what she really wanted to avoid. And solving the problem… That would be even worse.
Possibility of more low-quality scrawlings over the next week is currently 'medium'.
